01 / Overview
Drying in the sun depends on the weather, and in the monsoon it often fails. The Electric Tray Dryer moves the job indoors. Product is spread on trays, the trays are racked in a cabinet, and heated air is blown across them until the moisture comes down.
Electric heaters warm the air and a fan circulates it through the stack. Damp air is vented out and a thermostat holds the chosen drying temperature. The cabinet door is hinged, and loading and unloading are done by hand, tray by tray. Because it is a batch machine, each load can be a different product.
Ayurvedic makers dry herbs and roots here before grinding, spice processors dry ginger and turmeric, and fruit units make dried banana or jackfruit. In a churna line it comes before the pulveriser. Sizes start at 3 Tray and go up to 100 Tray.

03 / Questions
How many trays does the Electric Tray Dryer take?
Sizes run from 3 Tray to 100 Tray, so one dryer can be a small bench unit or a full cabinet. Tell us the weight of wet product you load each day and we will propose a tray count.
Can the Electric Tray Dryer dry curry leaves and herbs without losing colour?
Warm air at a held temperature dries leaves and herbs without scorching them, which keeps colour and aroma better than hot sun. The thermostat holds the setting for the whole run, and the leaves are dry when they crumble between the fingers.
Why dry turmeric in a Tray Dryer instead of in the sun?
The dryer works through the monsoon, keeps dust, birds and rain off the product, and lets you repeat the same drying settings from one batch to the next, which sun drying cannot promise to do for you.
