01 / Overview
Fresh herb juice, or swarasa, and fruit juice both come down to pressing liquid out of fibrous plant material and leaving the pomace behind. The Double Screw Juice Expeller does that continuously, without sacks, cloths or a hydraulic press.
Material goes into a top hopper. Two intermeshing screws turn inside a perforated cage, pull the feed forward and squeeze it harder as the space narrows. Juice drains through the cage and the pressed fibre leaves at the end through an outlet chute. Two screws grip slippery or stringy material better than one, and the pomace comes out drier.
Ayurvedic makers press amla, ginger, aloe and leaves for swarasa and for arishtam bases. Juice units and large kitchens press pineapple and similar fruit. Hard fruit is usually crushed first. Output depends on the material being pressed.
02 / Construction & use
Features
- Two intermeshing screws turn inside a perforated cage and press the feed progressively.
- Top feed hopper keeps the machine loaded for continuous running rather than batches.
- Juice drains through the cage while dry pressed fibre leaves at the discharge end.
- Stainless build with a side drive housing keeps the motor away from the juice.
- Twin screws grip fibrous, slippery leaves and roots that a single screw would let slip.
Used to make
- Amla and ginger juice for ayurvedic preparations
- Aloe vera, tulsi and adathoda swarasa
- Pineapple and other fruit juice
- Leaf and root juices for arishtam and asavam bases
- Juice from crushed fruit coming off the Fruit Mill
03 / Choosing
- Fruit Mill
The Fruit Mill only crushes fruit into mash and presses nothing out. Run it ahead of the expeller when produce is hard or bulky, then let the expeller take the juice from that mash.
- Fruit Pulper
The Fruit Pulper returns thick pulp with seeds and skin removed, while this expeller returns thin juice with the fibre removed. Choose by what you want in the container, pulp or juice.
04 / Questions
Does the Double Screw Juice Expeller run continuously?
Yes. Material is fed through the hopper without stopping, the screws draw it in, and juice and pressed fibre leave by separate paths. A steady feed rate matters more than batch timing with this kind of press.
Does fruit need crushing before the Double Screw Juice Expeller?
For hard or large fruit, crushing in the Fruit Mill first helps the screws take hold and improves the yield. Leaves and other soft material often go straight in. Test your own raw material to confirm.
What output does the Double Screw Juice Expeller give?
Output depends on the material. Leaves, roots and fruit yield differently, so we size the machine from the raw material you press and the volume of juice you need each day, not from one figure. Tell us both.
